About the Company
Mischief Company is a new physical theatre company based in the U.K. which aims to bring daring, imaginative and challenging works to its audiences. The collaboration of co-artistic directors, David Lloyd and Natascha Metherell, interweaves slick physical movement and bold theatrical imagery to create storytelling at its most exciting and innovative. Inspired by classic stories and texts, Mischief Company creates cinematically influenced visuals with a specially commissioned and uniquely theatrical sound experience.
Mischief Company received consecutive grants from Arts Council England in 2015 and 2016 for the research and development of “RED” a new work inspired by the fairy-tale “Little Red Riding Hood” and Dante’s “Inferno”. In 2017 with further Arts Council England funding and a commission from Pavilion Dance South West, “RED” was premiered at Pavilion Dance South West in Bournemouth.
Currently “RED” is on a South East Regional tour.
